The Season after Pentecost

If you are a newcomer or a visitor—welcome! Please fill out a contact card found in your pew. Let’s get to know one another! St. Joseph’s is a place of worship, prayer, fellowship and study. Normally we pray Morning Prayer at 7:30 a.m. and Evening Prayer at 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please join us for prayer and fellowship whenever you can. The “poor plate” located by the baptismal font funds our fellowship and outreach ministries. Thank you for your gifts!

Clergy schedule: Karen will be on vacation and continuing education leave from June 24 through July 29. In her absence Polly Hilsabeck will be the point person for taking pastoral calls. Also, Deacon James can be contacted at  jamestoddemail@gmail.com.

The door locks in the church and parish house will be re-keyed on Wednesday, June 26th. It is not yet known whether current keys will work in any capacity after the re-keying. If you will need a key to enter the church and parish house, especially between Wednesday and Sunday, contact Mia (Junior Warden).

Gifts to share with our community:

– Someone to update website regularly (maybe 15-30 minutes per week)

– Folks to share in leading Morning and Evening Prayer (Monday and Thursday EP)

Does your change jar need extra space? We are collecting “quarters for cleaning” for our neighbors who need to do their laundry at the laundromat. Each load costs about $5 in quarters, so if you have quarters you’d like to donate, just put them in a baggie marked for laundry! Thank you!

Collection for St. Joseph’s community in need: We invite you to bring any of the following items and place them in the basket at the back of the church for our breakfast and outreach needs; these items are part of the offerings of our life and labor:

toilet paper/paper towels                              mens’ socks

work pants (32—38)                                          quarters

men’s underwear (32-38)                                grits
